Wear Your Roots. Rep the 505.
There's a certain pride that comes with being from New Mexico — a pride that doesn't need to be explained to anyone who's lived it. It's in the way you say "órale" without thinking, the way you argue red or green like it's a matter of life and death, and the way the Zia sun feels less like a symbol and more like a part of who you are. These beanies were made for you.
Each All Tribes Treasures Hand-Printed Black Beanie is a wearable piece of New Mexico culture — hand-printed with original artwork inspired by the streets, the slang, the food, the land, and the soul of the Land of Enchantment. Whether you're repping Burque, cruising the Bosque, or just trying to stay warm at a winter market on the plaza, these beanies hit different.
The Designs — Each One Tells a Story
Every design in this collection is rooted in authentic New Mexico culture, language, and identity:
- A-LA-VE (Teal Plate) — A classic New Mexican expression of disbelief or amazement, like saying "no way" or "for real?" — rendered in the iconic NM Centennial teal license plate style with Zia sun symbols woven right into the lettering.
- A-LA-VE (Black & Teal Plate) — The same beloved NM phrase, reimagined on a bold black plate with striking teal lettering and Zia accents — a darker, more dramatic take on a cultural classic.
- Zia Highway Sign — A nod to the sacred Zia sun symbol of the Zia Pueblo people, one of the most recognized symbols in the Southwest, reimagined as a teal highway marker.
- NM Flag Zia — The red and gold of the New Mexico state flag, anchored by the ancient Zia symbol representing the four sacred obligations of life.
- I Love NM (Centennial) — A love letter to the state, celebrating New Mexico's 1912 centennial with chile pepper flair and the Zia at its heart.
- PURO JALE — Pure hustle. Pure work. A phrase born in the barrios of Albuquerque meaning "all business, all grind" — on a bold yellow Centennial plate.
- BUENO BYE — The ultimate New Mexican send-off. A bilingual pun that only makes sense if you grew up here, paired with red and green chiles because obviously.
- ALL BAD (Teal Plate) — NM slang for something so good it's bad — like the best green chile cheeseburger you've ever had. Teal plate, bold energy.
- ALL BAD (Black & Teal Plate) — Same phrase, darker attitude. Black plate with teal Zia and lettering for those who keep it low-key but still all the way NM.
- ALL BAD (Yellow Plate) — The gold standard. Bold dark red on bright yellow with yucca plants and the Zia — this one screams Land of Enchantment from across the room.
- ALL SICK — Same energy, different word. In the 505, "sick" is the highest compliment. Teal Centennial plate, no apologies.
- CHALE — Chicano slang for "no way" or "forget it" — a word that's been part of New Mexico's cultural vocabulary for generations. Black plate, yellow letters, red and green chile.
- ÓRALE — Perhaps the most versatile word in the Southwest lexicon. Agreement, excitement, encouragement — it means all of it. Teal Zia, black plate, pure NM.
