The ornament is signed by NM Artist Juanita Bower.
• Dimensions: 3 1/4" W x 4 1/4" H x 1 3/4" D

About the Creation Process:
Each Spirit of the Desert gift is handcrafted from terra cotta or white slip clay. The process begins with liquid clay poured into hollow plaster molds, which absorb moisture, leaving a hollow shell. After removal from the mold, windows and doors are carved, and the piece is dried in a baking oven. Once dry, it is fired in a high-temperature kiln at 1600°F. After cooling, final touches such as the nativity figures and silver accents are added, making each piece unique.
