⚠️ IMPORTANT — Size Requests, Minimum Purchase & Weight Guide

Because turquoise is a natural stone sold by weight, size and weight are directly related. A 5 gram minimum purchase is required for all orders. Select your preferred size range using the variant selector — each size corresponds to the minimum gram quantity needed to fulfill that size request. Size requests are accommodated on a best-effort basis based on available stock.

Variant / Size Description Min. Grams Price
Extra Small Chips & pebbles under 1" 5 g $75.00
Small 1–2" pieces 20 g $300.00
Medium 2–4" pieces 60 g $900.00
Large 4–6" pieces 120 g $1,800.00
Extra Large 6"+ pieces 200 g $3,000.00

For example: a 5g (XS) purchase may yield several extra small chips or one small piece. A 60g (Medium) purchase gives you the best chance of receiving a medium-sized specimen. Natural variation means no two pieces are identical.

About This Turquoise

This is premium, natural, filler-free rough turquoise sourced directly from Nevada, USA — one of the world's most celebrated turquoise-producing regions. Nevada mines such as Carico Lake, Royston, Pilot Mountain, and Lone Mountain have produced some of the most sought-after turquoise on earth, prized by collectors, jewelers, and Indigenous artisans alike.

High Grade Nevada turquoise is distinguished by its exceptional blueish-green to greenish-blue color — richer, more saturated, and more blue-dominant than mid grade material. High grade stones exhibit superior hardness, tighter matrix (or minimal matrix), and a more vivid, consistent color that commands attention. These are the stones lapidary artists and fine jewelers seek out for premium cabochons, collector pieces, and heirloom-quality jewelry.

In the gemstone trade, turquoise grading is based on color saturation and consistency, hardness (ideally 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale), matrix style, and treatment status. High grade natural turquoise is untreated, harder, and displays the most desirable color range — the vivid blueish-green to greenish-blue tones historically associated with the finest American turquoise. Our high grade material is 100% natural and filler free, with no stabilization, epoxy, or dye treatments of any kind.

What Is "Filler Free"?

Much of the turquoise on the market today is stabilized or treated to improve color and durability. Our high grade rough is completely untreated — natural hardness, natural color, natural beauty. This is the material serious lapidary artists and collectors seek.

What Can You Make With It?

  • 🪨 Fine Cabochons — The superior hardness and vivid color of high grade material produces stunning, polished cabochons worthy of fine jewelry settings
  • 📿 Precision Beads — Drill and shape into heishi-style or chip beads with consistent, vibrant color
  • 🐻 Native American Style Animal Fetishes — Carve into traditional Zuni-inspired spirit animal forms — the color and hardness of high grade material makes it ideal for detailed carving
  • Vibratory Tumbler Polished Stones — High grade material polishes to a brilliant, glass-like finish
  • 🎨 Precision Inlay Work — Cut into uniform chips or slabs for fine mosaic and inlay jewelry
  • 🖼️ Collector Specimens — Display as premium natural art — the color alone makes these showpieces
